Meet Dr. Klein
Dr. Valerie Klein is a native New Yorker. She received both her Undergraduate and Doctoral degrees from Columbia University; her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Columbia College and her Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) Degree from The School of Dental and Oral Surgery.
During the year that Dr. Klein spent pursuing a residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital she developed an strong interest in helping patients to maintain, or restore, their dentition. After that year she returned to Columbia University’s College of Dental Medicine (formerly known as the School of Dental and Oral Surgery), where she spent the next three years completing her post- graduate specialty training in Periodontics.
Dr. Klein values the importance of education as well as the importance of giving back; she proudly serves as an Instructor in Clinical Dental Medicine at Columbia University’s College of Dental Medicine with the department of Periodontics. She attends continuing education courses to keep up to date with the latest advances in her field and is an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology, The Northeastern Society of Periodontists, The American Dental Association, The New York State Dental Association, and the New York County Dental Society.
Dr. Klein has extensive experience in all aspects of surgical and non- surgical periodontal care. She is often praised by patients for her compassion and professionalism as well as for her ability to provide gentle yet comprehensive treatment.
